Blazing 50 Spin

This class is taught by:

$hirley O'Connor

Shirley O'Connor is madly in love with Spinning. After selling her first creation, Black Dog Yoga, she and family packed it up and moved to Bali. She started looking for more cardiovascular work to incorporate into her regimen, without giving up the mind-body connection. Running was good, except in Bali you have to contend with random wild dogs chasing you and strange alligator-Komodo Dragon hybrids lurking in the brush. These supercool personal trainers from New Zealand put her on a Spinning bike and the rest is history. Shirley brings to her classes her Mad Dogg Certification, her love for this community, and always a killer playlist. "Spinning is a very intense, no-impact workout where all of a sudden you lock into a space where everything is connecting and there are no limits to your potential."

Maxi Witrak

Maxi is a Seattle native who's ready to make it rain!  A proud product of Blazing Saddles' instructor training program, Maxi's enthusiasm is infectious and her smile literally lights up the room.  She cranks out a diverse mix of top-40, hip hop, throw backs and pop rock.

When she's not in the saddle, you might find Maxi... in the saddle!  She's an equestrian champ who holds both national and world titles and even loves a good fox hunt.  So pull up your breeches, strap on your spurs, and come ready to ride!  Giddy-up!

Colin Kim

Colin Kim is an indoor cycling instructor and spiritual teacher, a respected pioneer in the industry with over 4,000 classes under his belt. His powerful approach to fitness continues to elevate the lives of his students and with gentle confidence and golden trust he holds in practice top name celebrities, professional athletes and the brand new student. When the moment comes, Colin has an intuitive knack for guiding the process of emotional healing. His encyclopedic knowledge comes through personal; musical, uplifting and super fun.

Michael Johnson

As an indoor volleyball player and coach, Michael has been around gyms his whole life. Fourteen years ago on a dare he signed up to compete in a triathlon, and within the first couple months of owning a road bike, he set out on a 8 day/700 mile ride from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco. After taking his first indoor cycling class he was hooked. Michael likes to bring the outdoors in, where his classes mimic outdoor riding. His music is a blend of multiple genres including funk, soul, rock, electronic dance, indie pop and RnB.

Susan Schwartz

Susan Schwartz knows what it feels like to be on the go.  She's a Spinning instructor, personal trainer, and the mother of twin girls - her proudest achievement to date.  Susan grew up in Toronto, Canada.  In 1995, she moved to California with her husband, Al, and traded in her snow shoes for cycling shoes.  Fueled by her love of cycling, Susan soon started teaching Spinning at several clubs in the Los Angeles area.  As a Spinning instructor and personal trainer, Susan enjoys working with clients both in group settings and individually to help them realize and achieve their goals.  She enjoys cooking (she worked in the catering industry for 6 years), camping, hiking, traveling, and - ever the Canuck - cheering for her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.  Ask Susan what she believes the key to happiness is and this is what she'll tell you: "A healthy mind, an active body, lots of sleep, and comfortable shoes."

Daniel Gallun

This dude is dangerous! Daniel's taken out opponents with his bare hands and slain attackers with a broadsword. Luckily, these feats were all in the theater where he is a certified stage combatant! But Daniel brings this same intensity to the bike. A proud product of the Blazing Saddles instructor training program, Daniel's classes pack a mix of indie, classic, pop and massive amounts of fun. When Daniel's not at the gym, this Wisconsin boy loves to drink beer and eat. His favorite food? Cheese, of course!

Steve Pierson

Steve has been a Johnny G. certified Spin instructor since 2009 and has developed a loyal following of students who love his high energy and challenging classes.  He teaches his fun and funky classes for all levels and makes sure to motivate beginners and advanced Spinners alike to push themselves past their own personal boundaries.  As a cyclist and fitness enthusiast, Steve started Spinning years ago to get in shape, and became a self-proclaimed Spinning addict.  He went on to receive his Spin instructor certification from Mad Dogg Athletics in 2009 and has traveled around the country learning from Master Spin instructors and trainers.  Steve uses core-strengthening and calorie-burning techniques to create an intense cardio and sculpting workout.
